carried all of my books through sleet, rain and snowReview by school kid
I walk to my school so it was vital that I had a bag that was waterproof and protected my school supplies from rain. This bag worked perfectly for that. There is also no sign of tearing or any sorts of ripping along the bag. The cotton web shoulder strap hold up amazingly with all the weight it holds. I'm able to fit my books with enough extra room in the sides for a water bottle. Everything I need for classes fits comfortably with quite a bit if extra room. Usually i have 4-5 notebooks, my computer and my geography book in the main pouch. Pencils and pens in the middle 2 small pockets, note cards and calculators in the 2 side medium pouches and other assorted items in the front pocket. (Posted on 2/1/2015)
Tough Little BagReview by Hellanor
I've had my Duluth Pack messenger bag for over 10 years now and I'm about ready for a new one. The material stands up well to use and abuse, though noticable fading shows up around year 6 or so. Had the strap replaced in year 10; and I've noticed a number of holes wearing through. All in all, these bags can take a beating and last a goodly while. (Posted on 10/21/2014)
shipping takes too longReview by unhappy with shipping
I have ordered twice form Duluth. The first time I paid the up charge for two day delivery, it took six business days. Emailed to ask why, no response. The second time it two 12 business days to receive my item. Amazon can deliver in a day or two, I think 12 is completely unreasonable. (Posted on 4/30/2014)
Awesome bag as alwaysReview by waisanen
Great quality, great color (waxed canvas). I get compliments all the time. I love they are from Duluth! (Posted on 11/26/2013)
Product below averageReview by BRED
Sorry to report with all these glowing reviews that my bag didn’t last 8 months before I have to send it back for repair. It was a Christmas gift in 2012. I have used it perhaps 4 or 5 days a week on average and some of the stitching has now come apart. We will see how the repair/replacement procedure goes and I don’t like the fact that I have to pay for the packaging and shipping to have it repaired. (Posted on 8/7/2013)
Best Diaper Bag everReview by Working mom
We have had this bag now a year as a diaper bag & it has held up well to bottles spilling in it, my son stepping on it with his snowy winter boots in our car, and generally being thrown around. I am glad we invested in this bag because once she outgrows it as a diaper bag, we can use it traveling and carrying around all our electronic devices together. (Posted on 3/27/2013)

I bought this for my wife when we both were in college, she would wear out bags quickly and I already know Duluth Packs are the toughest bags on the market so I bought her this, she was thanking me for months! Now I'm finishing up college and I use it daily to carry my books and laptop, I understand why she loves it so much!! Keep up the good work!!! (Posted on 12/28/2012)

not as sturdy as I'd hopedReview by tamarack
I'm surprised to hear so many reviews stating that this bag has lasted them years without significant wear. Mine started wearing out after about four years; I have limped it along to its sixth year, but at this point the strap is almost worn through and there are multiple large holes in stress points in the canvas (where the straps connect to the bag and at the bottom). I do walk or bike almost everywhere, so my bag is constantly moving with my body, so maybe I just wear it out more quickly? It's a lot sturdier than the average cheapie bag from a discount store, and I do appreciate the natural canvas (as oppsed to nylon), but I would say this bag is best for only light or infrequent use. I've had my satchel for over 10 years and it is still in excellent condition. It goes on all my adventures and keeps up with me. This is a purchase you won't regret! (Posted on 2/24/2012)

Absolutely great bag. I've made friends over having a duluth bag and anyone from MN or a canoeing fan will immediately spot it. But how can you cite Yale as an ideal place for this bag? Obviously a Dartmouth bag... and has treated me well there ! (Posted on 2/21/2012)
A year on and still 100% satisfiedReview by Matt
A year after having purchased this bag, I feel confident in saying it is perhaps the best apparel product I own. I have used it on almost a daily basis at work and university (in some cases carrying relatively hefty loads), and it has spent two months by my side while I was travelling abroad. And yet it still shows no significant signs of wear. Furthermore, it is very competitively priced, looks great and is comfortable to wear. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a hardy yet at the same time unique bag. Also, the customer service people at Duluth Pack are very easy to deal and punctual. Thank you all round! Excellent!Review by JVen
I just received my book bag last night. It looks awesome and the monogramming makes it look even better. On top of that, customer service was extraordinary. I will definitely patronize Duluth Pack in the future! (Posted on 1/21/2011)
simple, perfect, Duluth PackReview by checco13
This is my first Duluth pack and it won't be my last! It's a simple bag and there's not much to say other than it is exactly what it needs to be. As with all Duluth Pack products, it is perfectly constructed, and the quality is unmatched. I bike to work in downtown Minneapolis and I never leave home without it. The shoulder strap is comfortable and easily adjustable. The divider and pockets inside keep everything I need for the day organized and secure. I love to represent my Duluth pride and there is no better way to do so than with the unique look of all Duluth Packs. If you're looking for a commuter bag, look no further. Lifetime guarantee, made in the USA, what more could you ask for? Buy Duluth Pack! (Posted on 7/19/2010)

It goes everywhere with me.Review by gavin

Like an Old Shoe!Review by molson
I've had this basic book bag for about a year now. The excellent craftsmanship is just what I expected. The slight patina it is getting from daily use and the way the buckle system allows for greater capacity remind me daily of many enjoyable trips to the BWCA. I sometimes pick it up by the "ears" just to imagine I'm in the woods. (Posted on 7/15/2010)
Best school bag turned diaper bag!Review by Pam
I originally bought my book bag for my University years. It was usually along side my backpack. It's now 13 years old and has since become my trusty diaper bag. I absolutely love it for that. Roomy enough for diapers, wipes, snacks, extra clothes and whatever else I need. I love the buckles they hold everything in! Great product, great bag! (Posted on 6/8/2010)
Versatile Workhorse Review by bikerarcher
This is the first of four bags I bought from Duluth Pack. The design is very versatile for lugging books across campus, or jammed with food and water for a day's wanderings in town. Every stitch and rivet is simply perfect. The only reason not to rate this bag a five-star is that the canvas isn't a heavy weight, and has no water repellent wax coating
