Best bag
I purchased this bag this weekend. So far so good, I love it! I am 6ft tall and was worried the strap wouldn't be long enough. Not worried anymore....they sell extentions that match the strap perfectly! Review by Jill (Posted on 9/28/2015)
Good stuff
Had mine for years, hunting, fishing, biking, hiking, school, photography and just traveling in general. It's great. The only thing lacking are outside slip pockets for a phone or knife.
Otherwise highly recommended.

Review by J. Pettigrew for Rating: I bought this for using with my Acer noootebk computer. I have the small Aspire One and this backpack swallows it up! I also wanted something to carry on a plane for short trips. I guess it will work, if I am only staying for a day or two. I have to say it would be perfect if I was back in college and toting around my books and stuff. It's bigger than I expected, but I saw one similar to it at Sam's club for $10 more. The construction is top-notch. I've had my share of backpacks and this is one of the best constructed ones. I work in a factory and the guys there think it looks great. I throw my lunch and anything else I need into it and I'm set for the day. I would have given it five stars, except after I got it, I thought it would have been better made if the sleeve for the computer was removeable. Then I could use the backpack with the sleeve when I was carrying my computer, and without when I needed the extra space for packing an extra set of jeans for riding horses after work. Great durable bag
I bought mine 13 years ago and use it as my primary purse.
It shows just a bit of wear in the binding around the edge but still looks fantastic.
I think the size is perfect. All my stuff fits easily. Anything larger would be too heavy when running errands or on extended outings.
I'd definitely recommend this bag!

Classic Handbag
I bought the #100 for myself as an everyday purse, and I couldn't be more pleased. I got the brown, which is much richer in person than the online photo; it is the same dark brown as the leather. And the color and texture of the leather is exactly what I was looking for. I love the tough 15oz canvas, as it makes the bag feel bullet-proof. The strap works great as a crossbody at multiple settings; the longest hits me at the hip, though I am quite petite (5'1"), so that's something to keep in mind. Also, I called Customer Service and ordered a shoulder pad for the strap (well, two shoulder pads and an additional Double Shell Bag!). As a previous reviewer mentioned, the bag does not come standard with a shoulder pad, but the pads are inexpensive and easy to order. I am delighted with my purchase and recommend Duluth Pack to everyone I know! Review by Amanda (Posted on 3/26/2012)
A Must Have
I purchased this for my Mom for a Mother's Day present and she absolutely loves it! She proudly wears it as a purse and uses it everyday! I would recommend this Deluxe Shell as a present for any purse/man bag etc! Review by A DP Fan (Posted on 5/9/2011)
An Essential
This makes a great "man-bag". I use it daily to carry my cell phone, corporate security badge, pen, notebook, flash drives, snacks, keys for my client's offices, pill box, etc., etc., etc.. If I tried to stuff all of this in my lap-top bag, I'd list to starboard! I keeps my hands free and my essential bits & bobs handy. Review by HTP (Posted on 2/23/2011)
Good Bag/Strap too short
This is a well constructed bag. I purchased to use as it was named - a shell bag - when I am on the clays course. I'm six feet tall and the strap is just too short. I'm pretty handy so I made a new one. It would be nice to have some strap measurements and the ability to get a longer one. Review by Rich (Posted on 1/13/2011)
Good Bag
Good sturdy bag but I do have some issues.

I ordered the #200 in Kahki and it is still smaller than what I was hoping for. I would have liked another couple inches all around.

Also, I think the shoulder strap is a bit thin(width) and mine did not come with a shoulder pad for the strap which would make it a lot more comfortable. I would have liked the option to have a matching canvas strap.

I also wish there were more inner pockets, like for a cell phone, maybe for a water bottle and a D-ring for attaching keys would be a definite plus.

I say this bag is more suited for a book bag.

I do like the color and the construction is solid.

With some added features for a little more functionality I would rate this bag a 5, as it is I give it a 3.

Excellent Bag!!
My boyfriend bought this bag for me after i graduated from college since my other purses were outworn and not in the best of shape. This bag has been so great! It has enough room for my wallet, keys, camera, phone, sunglasses and all the other odds and ends that we carry in your purses, even a water bottle! This pack has come with me on air and land trips and seems to be the perfect size for anything. Adjustable shoulder straps are perfect for me, granted I am 5'5'' tall. I have had this pack for over a year now, and it still looks brand new! No complaints! You will NOT be disappointed in this bad! :) Review by Hannah (Posted on 7/15/2010)
Great design & look
I bought mine in 2004 and I've used it nearly everyday since. It's a great design - enough room to hold wallet, checkbook, cell phone, sunglasses, etc, but isn't too big or bulky as to get in the way. in 6 years of use, there is only some slight color fading in the canvas. I love this bag and I know it will keep going strong for years to come! I highly recommend it! Review by e.fulton (Posted on 7/15/2010)
Great bag-rugged
Got one for my wife last Christmas. She uses it as a purse all the time. Review by bacsicm (Posted on 7/15/2010)
The Perfect Travel Handbag!
I bought mine in 2006, and it's made every road/air trip with me since-- it's just the right size for carrying the few travel extras I don't take every day (maps, passport, handi-wipes, etc.) without being too big a purse to carry around when I've arrived at my destination.

The rough-texture on the back of the shoulder strap keeps the dang thing on my shoulder, in place, without slipping through days and days of airport security lines.

I love it!

Great Bag
I have several of these bags and use at least one of them every day - for everything from laptops, to books, to knitting. Great!

Useful bag, quality product/One problem
The only problem is the shoulder strap is too short for tall people to use the product comfortably as a field bag. It rides too high and is constricting if you have a coat.
