Gransfors Double Bit Felling Axe

Item M-627
Typically, one blade was sharpened to a finely honed, narrow "felling edge", while the second blade was ground slightly blunter, and used for knots and cutting near the ground where a finely sharpened blade was more likely to be damaged. Today the double-bit axe is used as a working axe or as a throwing axe for timber sports.

Best one yetReview by ColeTrain17
I own several Gransfors axes and this is the best one yet. Shaving hair sharp out of the box, perfect beautiful grained handle. This thing cuts like a light saber and is very well balanced. One side is finished thinner for a felling side and the other thicker for limbing, grubbing, etc. My only complaint is that the leather sheathes are loose and rattle a bit. I will be making customs but these work fine for the occasional use person if your not anal retentive like I am. Pull the trigger on this axe and you won't regret it (Posted on 1/7/2014)
