This is a wonderfull pack for its price, i have used this for hiking and when i go camping. the canvas material in extremley tough and durable. So if you are looking for a pack for bushcraft, canoeing or watever this is a great chice in my opinion. Review by a nice bushcraft pack (Posted on 4/7/2010)
Rambling On!
I’ve used this pack for day trips on the AT as well as a book bag for college, not mention the occasional overnight trip. It has held up and performed well. I would not recommend this particular pack for long hikes with heavy loads due to poor weight distribution. But overall a great pack for short trips. Review by Him (Posted on 8/22/2008)
My new hunting partner
I mainly use my Rambler to pack extra clothes when heading to my hunting spot in order to avoid overheating. It is big enough to hold my wool jacket as well as the other items that accompany me, like a seat pad, extra gloves, reading material, thermos of coffee, and a bite to eat.

It was nice to be able to find a pack that was put together with quality as a primary concern - not cost. Thick leather straps and copper riveting much the same as my old canvas pack that I had to finally retire after 35 years.

It gets a 4 from me because buckles and straps are fiddly to deal with when you have gloves on. That's just a fact of that type of closure, though and I wouldn't change a thing about this pack.

Tough as Nails!
I used this pack for an overnight trip in Killarney Ontario this summer, and I loved how durable it was. I have the waxed canvas version which blocks most water but most importantly I know I can toss this pack on the rocks to rest and I dont have to worry about it. The leather straps are as tough as they come and the canvas is fantastic. You can beat this bag down and throw whatever you want at it and it WILL hold, you have my word. My only issue is that it could use maybe a back pad and a waist strap for extra support and possibly a metal not plastic zipper. Nevertheless a great looking pack that gets plenty of looks!

I use this pack for day hikes, overnight campouts, and car trips. The thing I like the most about this pack is its toughness. I have taken it through some thick brush that would have ripped synthetic materials. It is very comfortable also...for short trips. My back was sore after hiking 16 miles with the Rambler filled to capacity. Review by Spanky (Posted on 1/15/2008)
