The One
Just did my first BWCA trip with this pack after 40 years of trips with many other packs. I was a little leery of the tumpline, but I used it about half the time, and liked it. Good size and features and great quality. I hope to be using it long enough to leave it to a great grandchild. Review by fruzblob (Posted on 8/16/2014)
Amazing Pack!
I agree with others who say that this pack is just right and the quality is amazing. It is! You just don't see craftsmanship like this anymore and it is a wonderful thing to experience. This has to be one of the best packs out there! Also, the service that I experienced along with ordering this pack was nothing short of amazing as well. Very personal attention and the kindness and care could be felt. Review by GrizzledAtoms (Posted on 6/19/2013)
My #1 canoe pack
The #3 Cruiser Combo pack is my #1 canoe pack. For me it is just the right size and includes all the features I need and want for canoe camping. I prefer the box style pack and the side pockets are key. The 18 oz canvas makes for one tough pack . The craftsmanship is unmatched in anything I've seen. I purchased mine about 10 or 15 years ago without the basket and it is as good as new. (I've blown through nylon and vinyl packs in shorter timeframes.) Review by pspaladi (Posted on 7/21/2010)
wouldn't buy any other
I'm still using my dad's #3 that he used for hunting and fishing until he passed on. I believe it must be about 50 years old or better. Still has the original leather shoulder straps and thong. Over the years he brought it back and had a few patches sewed on but it's still in great condition and I use it regularly along with the one he bought me when I was 8. I'm convinced that you can not buy a better pack. It will last a lifetime, literally. Review by djtelin (Posted on 7/19/2010)
Best Pack Made - Ever
I've been stompin' around the North American wilderness with this pack for about 43 years and it's lookin' like it's going to outlive me. Except for being 'broke in', it's still just like new. Trust me, this #3 has seen a lot of country! Review by djtelin (Posted on 7/19/2010)
can't say enough good things about this pack I use it in the BWCA elk hunting in Colo. winter camping I have had it for years and it still looks new. Review by deerman (Posted on 7/16/2010)
An alternative kitchen gear & Food pack
This was my first Duluth Pack I got to go canoe camping. I really like the heavy duty construction. The outside pockets work nice to carry fuel and stoves keeping them away from the kitchen gear and food we carry inside the pack. This pack always goes along in the BWCA for canoe camping. This Cruiser Combo #3 is big enough for regular camp out backpacking too. Review by miller (Posted on 7/15/2010)
