When it’s all up to you, you need a solo paddle that you can count on. Bending Branches’ Slice Solo is that paddle. The Slice Solo canoe paddle uses many of the same materials as our Slice kayak paddles, making it both lightweight and durable.

The Slice Solo’s blades are made of proprietary epX engineered polymer for a smooth entry to the water and a light swing weight. Its ovalized, fiberglass shaft has just the flex you need and the durability to stand up to some hard knocks.

The Slice Solo comes with a snug-fitting traditional 3 hole snap-button ferrule (adjustable for feathering angles 0° and 60°, L or R).

The Slice Solo canoe paddle is available in lengths of 260cm and 280cm.

  • Blade Shape: 6.9" x 17.5 " (95 sq. in.)
  • Blade Color: Orange
  • Shaft Color: Black
  • Shaft Type: Glass
  • Lengths Available: 260, 280 cm
  • Weight: 39 oz.
  • Drip Rings: Heavy duty
  • Ferrule Angles: 0° and 60° left or right
  • Shaft Size: Regular

Bending Branches recommends that boats up to 35” wide, with an average height person paddling would prefer the 260cm paddle. If a person were taller, they may prefer a 280cm paddle.

In a boat 35” or wider, a 280cm paddle is recommended. This would be for a person of average height. A smaller, shorter person would not likely solo paddle a boat this wide.

Looks Good so far......Review by Oldy Moldy

Time will tell, but so far so good. One point not evident in the description is that this paddle comes apart into two pieces. Given that I don't expect to use it all the time paddling my canoe the ability to take down makes it much more valuable to me. Sometimes I use a tarp if the bugs allow it and right now I'm trying to figure how to get double use from the paddle as a tarp pole. Fun way to pass some winter time. I did put some car wax on the joint where it goes together. Nice fit, I can see how a little dirt would bind the joint up, obviously, keep it clean.
