We took our immensely popular Rambler Pack and scaled it down. In the process we created a super functional day pack with European flair. A roomy, top-loading compartment cinches shut with a drawcord. Topflap secures with two leather straps and roller buckles. Side pockets are spacious enough for a quart water bottle. Need easy access to your binoculars, point-and-shoot camera, wallet, keys, sunscreen or bug dope? Simply unbuckle the handy front pocket. (All this stuff actually fits in the front pocket!) Web shoulder straps.

Made in USA.

This pack was featured in the NBC show Love in the Wild.

service and product is top notchReview by ALASKA BILL
Less then a week from placing my order and I received my pack. This is truly an "OLD SCHOOL " piece of equipment !! I opened the box ... and was immediately impressed wit the workmanship, the attention to detail and the quality of this pack. I have been backpacking since age 10 ( i am 69 ) and still at it. I haven't seen this level of quality in years! I have it fully loaded and will be taking out for a trial snowshoe hike tomorrow and can hardly wait. Im hoping to get 69 years of use out of this pack. Thank you for a great piece of gear! (Posted on 4/26/2013)

Lives up to the Duluth Pack reputation!Review by Martin
I bought my Wanderer just over a year ago. At that time I was little skeptical over spending the $ on the pack. I don't know why, since I already own several other Duluth packs and they are all fantastic.

Since I purchased mine (I went waxed canvas). I have been only pleased with this pack. It has been all over the US and Europe as well now. This has become my go to bag for almost any occasion. Work trips to other states, trips to the gun range, day pack for glacier hiking, thwart bag for a canoe trip; the list goes on and this pack performs admirably.

The side pockets are perfect for holding a Nalgene bottle. The front pocket holds me Nexus 7" tablet and sunglasses with room for a small notebook and deck of cards too. My only complaint is that I will the main compartment were a bit taller, maybe 3-4" or so. It would really let you capitalize on the versatility of this bag.

In the end, it has been a solid purchase. and I do not regret it one bit. In the last year mine has been dragged over rocks, soaked with water and frozen solid. I am pretty sure it is just getting broken in. I expect this will last for decades to come. (Posted on 12/16/2012)
Best Pack and Best Service.Review by Keith
This is a well made pack. It saved my back from injury in an ATV accident. What damage was done to the pack was repaired by the great folks at Duluth Packs. Again the best. (Posted on 10/23/2012)
Been a good yearReview by Auburn Catfish
Had this for over a year now. Have used it to day hiked all over southern Applachian trails. Only (small) complaint is the draw string in annoying - coming out and refusing to stay in the plastic draw. The pack itself will probably last a couple lifetimes though. (Posted on 8/25/2012)
Tuffest pack I've used in years.Review by Noz

Deer Camp 2012 - Bring It On!Review by Straussjoe
Hi all!
I have owned two DP "wanderer" packs for nearly five years. I have used my wanderer to travel from Utah to Duluth and further north to deer camp for the past two years and plan on the doing the trek again, this November. I ALWAYS have to stop in to DP at Canal Park on the waterfront of Lake Superior to what they have new in stock. The wanderer is an 'all-around' versatile pack that equaly the reputation of any other pack that DP has in its inventory. In addition, it is a fantastic pack to take as your only 'carry-on' to the aircraft and easily stowes under your seat or in the storage bins above your seat. Do not delay...get the wanderer today! You will not be disappointed...as you will not be for ANY of Duluth Pack's products! Incidentally, I have a 'drafters" bag that I purchased from DP over 13 years ago and it is still going strong. Yes, the leather has weathered and matured (only making it look better), the zipper broke once, and a top panel had to be replaced as the material wore out, but it was all repaired free of charge. The only thing I paid was for the shipping back west. Yes, I am a former Duluthian from the late 50s but will still not purchase any other pack on the market. These packs are not inexpensive. However, I always rely on the old saying, "You get what you pay for." In this instance (and all instances at DP), you DO get what you pay for - unequalled quality and fine craftsmanship! Built to lastReview by Mark
I use this pack for all my Scottish mountains, summer and winter. It's been frozen stiff, dropped down gullies, dragged over rocks and it still looks like new. I would never go back to a modern synthetic backpack.
My Klean Kanteen 64oz wide bottle fits into the side pocket which is great. I got the khaki colour and love it to bits. Comfortable, tough and well built. Perfect! (Posted on 5/27/2012)

Great packReview by pete
In 1979 I was introduced to the Duluth packs while at a canoe camp on lake Temagami. Anyone who has spent a large amount of time in the woods understands that your pack is not just for hauling some gear.Over time it becomes a part of you. I have owned Duluth packs since 1980 I have slept on them, jammed firewood in them, carried rocks, water, and even a dog in them. Even after all this the pack comes back for more. With that said, I wanted a smaller pack for day hikes and one nighters. The Wanderer is just about perfect. I have taken it on a few trips and it is breaking in just perfectly. The materials are top notch and it feels great. If you are even a little bit concerned about the price, remember this pack will last you a lifetime and it's made in America! Highly recommended. Thanks Duluth. (Posted on 3/28/2012)
