We took our immensely popular Rambler Pack and scaled it down. In the process we created a super functional day pack with European flair. A roomy, top-loading compartment cinches shut with a drawcord. Topflap secures with two leather straps and roller buckles. Side pockets are spacious enough for a quart water bottle. Need easy access to your binoculars, point-and-shoot camera, wallet, keys, sunscreen or bug dope? Simply unbuckle the handy front pocket. (All this stuff actually fits in the front pocket!) Web shoulder straps.

Made in USA.

This pack was featured in the NBC show Love in the Wild.

really, really good bagsReview by Wolfgang
Over the past 10 years I've purchased a total of 6 canvas bags/backpacks for my family from Duluth, the last one being the Wanderer for me. I've had it for three years and carry it to work everyday. Most of the summer on my motorcycle. I've had everything inside this backpack, from lunch to tools to my Husky when he was a pup. I carried it up five 4000+ footers in NH's Whites this summer alone. Both of my sons got Duluth book packs back when they were in middle school, they both still use them at college today. With a lifetime guarantee how can you go wrong? My oldest son is wondering when his might wear out, so he can send it back for a rebuild, but it still looks good! We're a huge supporter of Duluth Packs!! (Posted on 10/29/2010)

should be listed as a canoe packReview by paddler
this pack is great for canoe camping. holds all my gear essential for fishing and slides right into my #4 for the portages with lots of room to spare. my partner decided to get one after he saw how handy it is. good hunting pack too. (Posted on 9/3/2010)
Terrific daypack, even for mountain hikingReview by GrowUp-DaveyBoy
Just got back from 2 weeks in Glacier National Park, where my new navy blue Wanderer was my only daypack. I was surprised how well it carried all over those mountain trails. I inserted a folding canoe chair inside the back (to pad it, hold the packs's shape and protect me from pointy things) and that works great. It also held my rain jacket and poncho, sweater, cooking gear (I llke to have soup midway of a long hike), snacks and lunch, all the usual "ten essential" stuff, and camera. With room to spare. The side pockets both held 40-ounce size klean kanteens, which provides a lot of water. With that fairly substantial load, it stayed surprisingly comfortable, AND MUCH COOLER than a large nylon backpack. It's going with my son and me to the BWCA next Summer, that's for sure. Honestly, can't think of a single improvement. Thanks, Duluth Pack. (Posted on 8/17/2010)

This is my Favorite bag!Review by Michael
This bag goes everywhere with me. Camping, hiking, downtown, the coffee shop, ect. It is the perfect size and usually holds my books, laptop, notepads and my journal. Everyone else loves the look of it as I do. The straps are very comfortable even with a heavy load, despite not being padded. I was sold on the timeless design and look. I think of Adventure every time I look at it ! (Posted on 7/29/2010)
Wanderer WaxedReview by marcia
This is my newest backpack, and it is the best one I've ever owned. If you have never purchased one of the waxed canvas products, this is IT! The color is awesome, plenty of room with side pockets, a large front pocket, drawstring, and a zip pocket inside the flap. It makes you want to take a trip just to be able to use this beauty! Of anything I own from your store, this one takes the cake. No complaints on this one. Thank you! (Posted on 7/20/2010)
Finally!Review by JB
After years of searching, I've finally found the bag that matches my life. The Wanderer has every feature that a bag needs; roomy, durable and a classic style. Hiking, travel, fishing and photography outings are just a few of the assignments for my wanderer. Great materials and construction. I will not hesitate to buy any Duluth Pack product in the future. Thanks for making a bag that I can carry with pride and confidence. (Posted on 7/19/2010)
perfectReview by bobc
I lost track of how many brands of small-to-medium packs I accumulated, looking for the perfect ONE bag. I think I've found it in the Wanderer.

It's my woodland "photo bag," with whatever extra clothes I have along serving as padding for the cameras. The several pockets nicely isolate water bottle, GPS, and whatever else I chose to take along that morning.

I hate to use the word "perfect," but the Wanderer might just be the one bag that comes closest to deserving the title.

Great Hunting BAgReview by pjwood
For years I used an old Army canvas backpack for deer hunting. When it finally wore out I wanted a good canvas pack. The Wanderer is Perfect. It holds everything I need to travel in the woods by foot or canoe, and to shoot my flintlock rifle. (Posted on 7/19/2010)
