We took our immensely popular Rambler Pack and scaled it down. In the process we created a super functional day pack with European flair. A roomy, top-loading compartment cinches shut with a drawcord. Topflap secures with two leather straps and roller buckles. Side pockets are spacious enough for a quart water bottle. Need easy access to your binoculars, point-and-shoot camera, wallet, keys, sunscreen or bug dope? Simply unbuckle the handy front pocket. (All this stuff actually fits in the front pocket!) Web shoulder straps.

Made in USA.

This pack was featured in the NBC show Love in the Wild.

Review by Robert J. Hughes for Rating: I have a couple of these in dfeefrint sizes. They fit on the same frame so you only need one, if you want one at all. I like a frame because it keeps the bag off of my back and I am much cooler when I hike which is big here in Florida. The quality of the bag is excellent with plenty of easy to get at compartments. I would highly recommend it. Review by Anthony (Posted on 7/16/2014)
perfect bag
Okay, I bought this for my husband years and years ago. He has taken this bag on many assignments and we have the photos to prove it. There's one photo of him standing in Thailand with tanks behind him during the coup. It has gone to ,probably Mongolia, Bangladesh ( he got all the easy assignments. ha ha. ) Hawaii( okay, that one actually was easy) and all over the U.S. He was once asked in an airport,"Is that a Duluth Pack?" Maybe that means we're in some unofficial club. My husband pretty much can destroy anything just by accident. This pack of his continues to look really good and is holding up great. Thanks . Oh yeh, the reason I'm on this web site is because I want to get a travel pack for myself. I had one , but a family member adopted it( not much chance they'll just give it back )Have a blessed day Review by rebe (Posted on 7/13/2014)
I am a full time grad student, part time explorer and this bag is just what I needed. The fabric is thick and durable. I have checked it numerous times over the last two years and not one stitch, not one strap, not one rivet was out of place. Awesome product I highly recommend it. Awesome pack
This thing has been dragged all over. I use it for over night camping trips.it's been thrown in the dirt and dragged up the side of trees. Using mine as a hunting pack I over load it and have no problems. My only problem is i can't afford to buy one for everyone I know, so they can experience the quality of an Amercian made pack. Perfect for everything but hiking
I have used this pack for travel for light camping (aka car camping), to small hikes in the woods and have not found a single thing wrong with it. That is until I went on a weekend trip to the BWCA. I packed this bag for me to survive 2 nights in the woods and man what a pain in the but it was. Once I got this thing loaded up the bag wanted to do nothing more than sag back. There are no chest straps to keep the back pack standing upright and made for a very unease portage. I was literally shocked when I packed everything together and saw the performance of this backpack. That being said, it still is a great backpack but I will never take it to the BWCA unless I know for fact there will be ZERO portages. Review by tkohlhorst (Posted on 10/7/2013)
the padded straps make a huge difference !
i am STILL in love with my wanderer pack after a lot of treks, hikes and outings and having ordered the padded pack straps... Im enjoying this pack even more! I was delighted to find that Duluth will even make them to match the color of the pack ! Mine is RED and I've given it the name of " the RED BEAUTY " !!!! in over 60 years of hiking I have owned alot of packs but this one is beyond a doubt ... the best ! make a great pack even better with the padded straps
I have "updated" my review of this awesome pack already and will do so again. I would highly suggest and strongly recommend that if you decide to purchase this pack and if you will be hiking long distances, carrying weight... GET THE PADDED STRAPS ! the cloth straps that are on the this pack are wide but the pads will make a huge difference in comfort , most especially for the " older " hiker ( like me ) Review by ALASKA BILL (Posted on 8/26/2013)
We gave our son one for school and after seeing it and being around it for I decided I needed one too! Great pack for everything, both packs took a beating in CO elk hunting last fall and still look great. Can't do better than this! Review by Kyle (Posted on 6/24/2013)
