3 Review(s)
This pannier bag is compact enough for riding around town but big enough for a multi-day getaway. This pannier style bike bag has two large top loading bags so organization is easy! You can carry everything you need for a weekend bike tour. It has two spacious main compartments that are angled to accommodate the motion of the pedals, and a rigid back that won't get caught in the spokes. A zippered pocket on each flap allows you to store your trail maps with ease and paracord on the top allows for easy access to cinched down jackets.

  • Durable15oz Canvas
  • Bungee cord on top
  • Divider that sits on bike rack is 6"W x 10.5"D
  • Closes with a leather flap strap and roller buckle
  • Zippered pockets on each flap
  • Each pocket is 17H x 10.5W x 8.25D (1472 cu in)

A multi-day touring pannier
I've used these panniers on two week tours and two day rides. What's great about them is their size. I find them big enough and with enough flexibility to accomodate; tent, sleeping bag, clothes, and enough foor for a day or two. I can synch my sleeping pad plus tent poles through the elastic cord on the back and everything sits square. The heavy weight canvas does a good job of repelling water and tough it it a bit tricky securing the bags around the bottom of a rack, after using these for over a year now, I feel confident in the hookup.
A stiff backing on the inside would be nice for when using these not fully loaded. For errands around town they kinda sorta feel like wet noodles. But, for multi-day tours I'm stoked to have and use these,

Looks great but needs improvement
I ordered these panniers to use for around town and for bike camping, but unfortunately I decided to return them. The set I received were smaller than the dimensions listed in the description so that the capacity of each side was 20-23% smaller than the 1638 cubic inches listed. There is no rigid backing inside or out so that unless each side is stuffed, the lower corners on the inside will turn in and brush against the spokes. And if not stuffed, straps may catch in spokes unless secured. Also, attaching the lower part of the bag to my bike rack (a Topeak) was awkward and there were no directions included as to how to do it.

I was disappointed because I really like the overall design, sturdiness and look of these panniers, but for the cost they just aren't practical - will watch to see if there are any design improvements.

Hardware inquiry
This looks like a great bag! I just noticed that there isn't any info on the hardware needed for it to be mounted on the bike. Maybe add some info on that. Also maybe offer some links for brnds that might work best with the bag. Review by mwstiff (Posted on 7/15/2010)
