Bigger than it looks
Pros: Roomy. Lots of external pockets. Axe slide pocket. Made in USA. Classic look. Lifetime Guarantee.
Cons: The shoulder strap system is uncomfortable with a heavy pack. Should have added a sternum strap and belt system.

Duluth must have listened to one of the reviews on adding a top carry handle because my pack has it. This shows that Duluth listens to their customers!
Gave the pack a 4 just because of the shoulder straps. Otherwise it would be a 5.

Huge, well crafted, and worth every cent!
Most of my issued gear is Cordura, a fake canvas-esque material. It's not bad, but it simply cannot stand up to the rigors of true Canvas!

This pack is incredible. Firstly, it's much larger than it looks. I can fit ALL of my backpacking gear plus a pillow on top and I still have a little bit of room. The side pouches are sizable and, in case you're wondering, do fit an older style military canteen and canteen cup/stove with about 3 inches to spare. The Map-flap is a great addition!

My one problem is no handle on top. I would like to see that integrated. Also, 4 more lashing point on top might not be bad either!

But, as is, this pack is by far the best quality pack you'll use in your life! It's more than just a pack; it's an heirloom you can pass on to your kids!

Wow room for everything.
This pack is great. The best well made easy to use, and multi-purpose pack I've ever owned. I use this for many different functions, and have had no problems with use. Review by Deck Hand (Posted on 3/25/2013)
Quality Pack
I ordered this pack based on the reviews and it met all expectations. The features and designs were exactly as advertised. A well-made and rugged pack. I will certainly be buying from this company again. Review by Andrew (Posted on 3/13/2013)
Would you ever consider eliminating the stainless steels buckles in favor of Fastex quick release fasteners and constructing a quasi tactical pack? I have ordered items from your Co. Before and have always been pleased with the quality. I have a need for an indestructible pack modernized with up to date features that make it nonreflective and quiet. Fantastic Pack
I have used my Pathfinder Pack several times now and it is amazing what all you can pack into it. It is rugged, durable, and just looks great. I am so glad I made this purchase and will be buying more Duluth Packs in the future. Review by TLC (Posted on 12/11/2012)
Great Pack
Rugged well made ,well designed pack. Review by TOM (Posted on 10/4/2012)
ok pack
I watched the video reviews of this pack and it looked great and held a lot of gear... however i found i had to make two mods on this pack to make it work for me.
1/ a grab/handle at the top of the shoulder straps. I hate to have my pack on the ground and it make it easier to access when it is hanging and not on the damp/wet ground.
2/ add two lash points to the top flap so can lash my blanket there instead of the bottom... damp/wet ground thing again.

Once i made those to modification this pack is great for my style of bushcrafting . without these modification i would never use it

Very nice pack, good design, strong. A 5000cu. version would be great too! Review by Tom (Posted on 8/23/2012)
Not a good Duluth Pack
I am a long time Duluth Pack customer. I have 3 other packs from DP, a rucksack (now in backpack heaven), a utility, and a Monarch 4 (built like a tank). All have given me years of wonderful service. 4 months ago I received my Pathfinder. I was surprised to receive it 10 days after I ordered it, because they are supposedly made to order and take 4-6 wks. When I examined it, it looked as if had been made in a hurry. The stitchwork was very sloppy. Now after 4 months, the stitches are coming apart in places. I cannot return it, because as the ad says above, made to order cannot be returned. Not at all up to the standard I have come to expect from Duluth Pack.

Thank you for your feedback! We sincerely apologize that you received a defective product. Even though the Pathfinder is a custom order, it is still covered under our Lifetime Warranty for craftsmanship and hardware, and we would be more than happy to repair this pack for you. Please contact customer service at 1-800-777-4439 as soon as you can. Thanks again!
