With your help, we have planted over 31,000 trees in Minnesota in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and we're just getting started.
What is the Future Forest Fund?
The Future Forest Fund helps the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources plant and care for a diverse variety of trees in our state forests. Caring for the young trees by protecting from animal browse, pruning to improve growth and health, and monitoring to ensure healthy and successful forests with long-term sustainability in mind.
Seedlings have been planted across three Minnesota state forests:
- Cloquet Valley State Forest and Fond du Lac State Forest will be restored to white pine along the North Shore.
- Fond du Lac State Forest to plant red maple, enhancing biodiversity in ash-dominant areas threatened by the emerald ash borer.
- Areas affected by the 2022 Blue Blizzard to be reforested with Norway (red) pine seedlings.
Duluth Pack remains committed to environmental stewardship and proudly supports initiatives like the Future Forest Fund that make a tangible impact on Minnesota’s natural legacy.
Between April 22nd (Earth Day) and June 21st, 2026, Duluth Pack and the DNR will plant a tree for any customer’s purchase of a Duluth Pack-manufactured item.
