Traverse Crossbody Bag

I have been an on-again-off-again Duluth Pack customer for about 15 years. I tend to grow into a bag like a goldfish: the bigger the bag, the more I will carry. 99% of the time, I don't need a book and a first aid kit and a crochet project and a giant thermos. I shouldn't need to stow my bag in its own carseat. I just need a simple, durable, reliable crossbody, with basic organization and a small profile. When I saw this bag was offered in the matching Burgundy of my 12-year-old Market Tote, I bought it. You'd think these bags were bought on the same day--that's how colorfast DP's canvas is. These bags are an exact match even after 12 years. This little bag is a dream to carry: so lightweight, so slim. And it easily stows my Tom Bihn clear organizer wallet and checkbook in the front zipper pocket, keys and cell phone in the rear slip pocket, and my Field Notes and zippered tote of personal items (gum, lip balm, nail file, lotion) in the main zippered compartment, with a little room to spare. I know where everything is without even looking. Checking out at the grocery store is lightning fast with this setup. And if I do need that crochet project and 40oz thermos, this little bag can easily slip into something larger (like the Market Tote!). The bag looks and smells amazing, the color is beautiful, and the zippers are the quality I've come to expect from American-made bags. Thank you to Duluth Pack for this fantastic design. I use the cross body bag for agate hunting on the North Shore. I put an old stuff sack as a liner in the outside pocket. This keeps the bag clean from the dirt off the rocks I find. My hardness kit goes in one pocket and my identification book in another. I use a Duluth Pack axe holder loop on my belt for my rock hammer. Very well made bag and super sturdy
