This recipe was found from (Julia’s Simply Southern) and only takes 5 minutes to prepare and enjoy! Here is a recipe for a classic southern take on pimento cheese dip:

Ingredients

  • 16oz sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 4 oz Pimentos (diced, drained well)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • teaspoon Cayenne pepper (ground)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Directions

  • Grate your cheese and place into a mixing bowl.
  • Add the drained pimentos, seasonings, and mayonnaise with the grated cheese.
  • Gently combine the ingredients and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve!

 

1919 Pimento Cheese

Ingredients

  • 3 cup white cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 cup mayonnaise (Hellmann’s)
  • ½ cup Pimentos (diced, drained well)
  • ¼ cup green onions (minced)
  • ¼ cup pecans (toasted and chopped)

Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine the cheddar cheeses, cream cheese, mayonnaise, pimentos, green onions, and pecans, and stir until well combined.
  • Cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving and store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 8oz cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • ½ cup butter (softened to room temperature)
  • (1) 5oz jar Pimento cheese spread
  • ¾ cup cheddar cheese (finely grated)
  • Dash of garlic salt
  • Dash of onion salt
  • 1 cup pecans (finely chopped)

Directions

  • Combine cream cheese, butter, Pimento cheese spread, cheddar cheese, garlic salt, onion salt in a mixing bowl, and beat until smooth.
  • Line a small bowl with plastic wrap and press cheese mixture firmly into the bowl. Cover and chill for 30-60 minutes.
  • Remove plastic wrap and roll the mixture into a ball, then roll in the chopped pecans, and serve!

 

Pimento Sausage Dip

  • ground pork sausage (cooked and drained)

  • In a large skillet, add the cooked sausage, cream cheese, pimento cheese, and can of green chilies and tomatoes (Do NOT drain chilies and tomatoes).

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 2 green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 8oz pepper-jack cheese (shredded)
  • 8oz sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • (1) 7oz diced pimento drained reserve (2 tablespoons juice)
  • 4oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt

  • ½ teaspoon dry mustard

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and spray a 1 ½ quart shallow baking dish with cooking spray. Whip together the mayonnaise, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic salt, onion powder, dry mustard, and hot sauce for about 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  • Mix in the remaining ingredients by hand, reserving ½ cup each of cheese to sprinkle on top (Don’t forget to add the reserved pimento juice).

  • 8oz smoked Gouda

Southern Pimento Mac and Cheese

This recipe will create a scrumptious southern-style pimento mac and cheese dish! This recipe was found from (Southern Living- my recipes) and has the characteristics of both comfort and simplicity of making a great summertime lunch or dinner meal! Here is the recipe for a southern-style pimento mac and cheese:

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup, plus 1 ½ teaspoon salt (divided)
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 6 tablespoons butter (cut into pieces)
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 lb. pasta (Penne, Cavatappi, Rotini, etc.)
  • (2) 8oz packages extra-sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • ½ cup sweet onion (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 ½ cups panko
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • (2) 7oz jars pimiento (diced and drained)
  • (2) 2.52oz packages fully cooked bacon (diced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives (chopped)

Directions

  • Preheat broiler with oven rack 8 to 9 inches from heat. Then, bring ¼ cup salt and 4qt water to a boil in a large covered Dutch oven over high heat.
  • While the oven is preheating, microwave milk in a micro-safe 1-qt. glass measuring cup covered with plastic wrap at HIGH for 3 minutes. While the milk is heating, melt the butter in a 12-inch cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Then, reduce heat to medium-low; add flour, and cook, while whisking constantly for about 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in hot milk and increase the heat to medium-high and bring to a low boil, while whisking often.
  • Add pasta to boiling water and cook for approximately 8 minutes. Meanwhile, continue to cook sauce (whisking often) for about 6 minutes. Remove from heat; whisk in cheese, onion, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, 1 ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon pepper, and cover.
  • Stir together panko and olive oil. Then, drain pasta and fold into the cheese sauce. Stir pimiento and bacon into the pasta mixture, and sprinkle with panko mixture.
  • Broil 1 to 2 minutes (or until breadcrumbs are golden brown). Next, sprinkle with chives and serve immediately!

 

Pimento Cheese-Bacon Burger

This recipe will create a delicious pimento cheese and bacon burger… how yummy? This recipe was found from (Southern Living- my recipes) and will guarantee a perfect summertime dinner dish!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground sirloin
  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • ¼ cup fresh herbs (mixed/chopped- basil, mint, oregano, etc.)
  • Homemade hamburger buns:
    • (1) 48oz package frozen white bread dough loaves
    • 1 egg (large)
    • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds/poppy seeds
  • Toppings:
    • Pimiento cheese
    • Cooked bacon slices
    • Lettuce
    • Tomato slices

Directions

Burgers

  • Preheat grill to 350 to 400 degrees (medium-high) heat. Combine the first 4 ingredients gently and stir herbs into meat mixture and shape into mixture into 6 (5-inch) patties.
  • Then, grill with the cover on for about 4 to 5 minutes and each side (or until beef is no longer pink in the center). Serve on your homemade burger buns and top with pimiento cheese, bacon slices, lettuce, tomato slices, etc.!

Homemade Buns

  • First of all, let the dough stand at room temperature for 15 minutes. Cut dough into 12 equal pieces and place them onto a lightly greased 15 x 10 – inch jelly-roll pan. Let rise in a warm place (85 degrees) for about 30 minutes (or until doubled in bulk).
  • Shape each dough portion into a 5-inch circle, and place on a lightly greased jelly-roll pan. Whisk together egg and 2 tablespoons water. Brush dough lightly with egg mixture; sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Let rise in a warm place (85 degrees) for about 1 hour (or until doubled in bulk).
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake rolls for about 20 to 22 minutes (or until browned). Let stand for 15 minutes and cut rolls in half crosswise and toast.
  • Enjoy!

 

Pimento Cheese-Stuffed Fried Chicken 

This is a recipe that will create a scrumptious pimento cheese-stuffed fried chicken dish that will satisfy your cravings. This recipe was found from (Southern Living-my recipes) and takes approximately 33 minutes to cook and make! Enjoy!  

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts (skinless and skinless)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 egg (large)
  • 1 ½ to 2 cups panko
  • Vegetable oil
  • cups pimiento cheese
  • Garnish: chives (fresh/chopped)

Directions

  • Sprinkle chicken evenly with 1 teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon pepper. Whisk together ½ cup milk and egg. Dip chicken in milk mixture, and dredge in breadcrumbs.
  • Pour oil to a depth of -inch in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken in hot oil for about 10 minutes on each side (or until done).
  • Transfer chicken to a baking sheet and hold the chicken with tongs and cut a slit in 1 side of each chicken breast to form a pocket. Spoon cup Pimiento Cheese into each pocket.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 2 to 3 minutes (or until cheese is melted). Garnish (if desired) and serve immediately!

 

Grilled Pimento Cheese Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (4oz) jar pimiento (drained and diced)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion (finely grated)
  • (2) 8oz blocks sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • White bread slices
  • Mayonnaise

Directions

  • Stir together 1 cup mayonnaise, diced pimiento, Worcestershire sauce, and onion. Then, stir in shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
  • Spread ¼ cup pimiento cheese mixture on 1 side of a white bread slice; top with another bread slice.
  • Lightly spread both sides of sandwich with mayonnaise and repeat with remaining pimiento cheese mixture for the desired number of sandwiches.
  • Cook on a hot griddle or large non-stick skillet over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes on each side (or until golden brown and cheese melts).

 

Macaroni-and-Pimento Cheese Bites

Ingredients

  • (1) 8oz package elbow macaroni
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoons red pepper (ground)
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • (1) 8oz block sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • (1) 4oz jar pimiento (diced and drained)
  • ¾ cup parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 2 eggs (large, lightly beaten)
  • ½ cup milk
  • Vegetable oil

Directions

  • Prepare pasta (according to package directions). Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Gradually whisk in flour (until smooth); cook, whisking constantly for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in 2 cups milk and next 3 ingredients; cook, whisking constantly, 3 to 5 minutes (until thickened). Stir in cheddar cheese and pimiento until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in pasta and enjoy!
  • Line a 13 x 9-inch pan with plastic wrap (allowing several inches to extend over edges of the pan). Pour mixture into prepared pan, cool slightly, and cover and chill for 8 hours. Remove macaroni mixture from pan and cut into 1-inch squares.
  • Stir together breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese in a shallow dish. Whisk together eggs and ½ cup milk in another shallow dish; dip macaroni bites in the egg mixture and dredge in breadcrumb mixture.
  • Pour oil to a depth of 1 inch in a large skillet; heat to 350 degrees. Fry bites, in batches of 2 on each side.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup cold butter (cut into 1/2 -inch cubes)
  • 1 cup whipping cream, divided
  • ¾ cup (3oz) sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 3 tablespoons pimiento (finely chopped)
  • Wax paper

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees and stir together the first 3 ingredients in a large bowl. Cut butter into flour mixture with a pastry blender until crumbly and mixture resembles small peas and freeze for 5 minutes.   • Turn dough out onto the wax paper; gently press or pat dough into a 7-inch round (mixture will be crumbly). Cut 8 round wedges and place the wedges 2-inches apart on a lightly greased baking sheet. Brush tops of wedges with remaining 2 tablespoon cream just until moistened.
  • Bake at 450 degrees for 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

 

Pimento Cheese Cookies

This recipe is an interesting take on desserts, pimento cheese cookies! This recipe was found from (Southern Living-my recipes) and is a must-try! Here is the recipe for pimento cheese cookies:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pimiento cheese (refrigerated)
  • ½ cup pecans (finely chopped)
  • ¼ cup butter (softened)
  • Parchment paper
  • 4 tablespoons strawberry preserves

Directions

  • Beat together flour and pimiento cheese at medium speed with a heavy-duty electric stand mixer 1 minute. Add pecans and butter; beat until blended. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees and place dough on a well-cut floured surface and roll to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into 48 rounds with a 2-inch round cutter, rerolling scraps once. Arrange half of the rounds 2-inches apart on parchment paper-lined baking sheets; spoon ½ teaspoon strawberry preserves onto center of each round, and top with remaining rounds (pressing edges to seal).
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cook on baking sheets for 10 minutes; transfer to wire racks and cool completely before serving!

 

Smoky Pimento Cheese Deviled Eggs Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12 eggs (large)
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¾ cup sharp cheddar cheese or freshly grated smoked
  • ¼ cup jarred roasted red bell pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Pinch ground red pepper
  • Toppings: sliced green onions, diced country ham, sliced pickled okra, spiced pecans, etc.

Directions

  • Place eggs in a large stainless-steel saucepan (not nonstick). Add water to a depth of 3 inches, bring to a rolling boil and cook for 1 minute. Cover remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes and drain.
  • Place eggs under cold running water (until cool enough to handle). Peel under cold running water and cut eggs in half lengthwise; remove yolks. Reserve 6 yolks for another use.
  • Mash remaining 6 yolks with mayonnaise (using a fork) and stir in cheese with the next 3 ingredients. Season with salt and pepper to taste and spoon into egg whites. Serve with desired toppings and enjoy!

 

Baked Pimento Cheese Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 3 large beefsteak tomatoes
  • Salt
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • (1) 4oz jar pimientos (drained, reserve 1 tablespoons juice)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives (chopped, divided)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese (grated)
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic salt

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment and set aside.
  • Slice the tomatoes into 5 equal slices (15 total) and lay on doubled paper towels and sprinkle lightly with salt and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a medium-size mixing bowl, mix together cheese, mayonnaise, pimientos with 1 tablespoon juice, 1 tablespoon chives, garlic salt, onion powder, ground mustard, and black pepper and mix until fully combined.
  • Arrange the tomato slices side by side on the baking sheet and divide the pimiento cheese between the slices leaving a 1/4 -inch border.
  • In a small mixing bowl, toss the panko with the butter, parmesan, and garlic salt and sprinkle on top of each slice.
  • Bake for 13-15 minutes (or until lightly golden) and the tomato slices are slightly softened. Rest for 5 minutes and sprinkle with remaining chives and enjoy!

 

Hot Ham and Pimento Cheese Sandwiches

This recipe resembles the basic pimento grilled cheese sandwich above, but with the addition of ham and more spices included! This recipe was found from (Plain Chicken) and sounds extraordinary! Here is a recipe for hot ham and pimento cheese sandwiches:

Ingredients

  • 1 dozen Hawaiian dinner rolls
  • ½ lb. deli ham (very thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup prepared pimento cheese
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds

Directions

  • Preheat to 350 degrees and split each dinner roll. Make a sandwich of the ham and pimento cheese and the dinner rolls. Arrange the sandwiches in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

  • 5 Roma tomatoes (diced)
  • 18 leaves green leaf lettuce
  • 6 plain burrito or sandwich wraps (X-large)

Directions

  • Make pimento cheese: whisk together the mayonnaise, Worcestershire, and seasonings.
  • Gently fold in all of the shredded cheese and diced pimento with liquid. Mix well, cover, and chill for at least 4 hours.
  • Prepare the bacon by sprinkling ground pepper (prior to baking) and set aside to cool slightly.
  • To assemble: place 3 lettuce leaves on the lower third of the wrap and sprinkle with diced tomatoes.
  • Spread the pimento cheese over the tomato and place 3 slices of bacon on top.
  • Wrap in plastic wrap and chill until serving or cut on the diagonal and serve immediately, enjoy!
