With its rugged canvas construction and comfortable webbed straps, the Scout Pack will be beyond dependable for day hikes, school, and every day travels. Its simplistic envelope backpack design makes it easy to use and incredibly comfortable. With two lifetime guaranteed roller buckles in the front, the Scout Pack is designed to take you further. Product Review

Since orthopedic docs and chiropractors all say don't carry heavy bags on one shoulder, too much strain on your spine that way, I decided I needed to find a shoulder pack that would make sense for me for work/laptop, trauma kit, and EDC stuff in. First I got 1 in tangerine, because in woods there are people with poor eyesight and itchy trigger fingers that might mistake me for dinner. I loved it. But I fell in love with the gorgeous rich loden green (aka OD green) and so when I could, and it was on sale, I bought my 2nd. I use it daily. It gets compliments often. Used it at prof'l conference. What I love best of all the things I love, is the fabric. This canvas is holding up astoundingly well, and it has softened with use so that I have found myself just about petting the bag when it's in my lap on public transportation. Yeah, I miss my dog, but that's not it -- the fabric is soft AND strong! It's sturdily slouchy. It doesn't exactly drape, it has way too much heft for that, but it feels...natural. I love that. The leather piece that holds one of my buckles on has split, like the top half is unrolling itself, and I'm not thrilled about that, but I'll probably just ask a cobbler what kind of glue to use. Not worth shipping it back to MN. Also those roller buckles are fantastic. When I first read the description I had no idea why "roller" was necessary with "buckle." Now, I do, and wow, do they ever make it simpler and faster to open the pack. Worth the $$. <3

Product Review

Nice small pack for day trips or to hold your "not often needed" items such as outboard motor tools and spare anything. I have the waxed canvas, which is both better looking and sheds water easily. Haven't seen it much this past year as the grandkids keep running off with it. If camping with your kids, nothing beats the Original #2 for you and the Scout Pack for the kids.
